SITUATION

Fantasy football is a billion dollar industry and the most popular fantasy sport in the world. Yahoo! Sports approached JHG to develop a creative concept and promotional strategy for Yahoo! Sports Fantasy Football 2009.

RESULTS

JHG recommended a campaign that paid homage to the enormous fantasy football following. Thus, the Fantasy Football Nation was born. The Nation concept included its own Pledge of Allegiance, which through a series of various sized Flash banners is accompanied with high contrast images of every day Fantasy players. The color scheme of black, white, and red positions Yahoo! Sports as the leader of a movement that has become more than just a game for many.

In addition to the campaign, JHG helped create a social media platform for Yahoo! Sports. JHG developed a presence on Facebook and Twitter with various creative initiatives, including customized sports quiz applications, Facebook profile badges, and Twitter feeds. Along with the campaign, the social media initiatives brought awareness to Yahoo! Sports and their fantasy products.
