SITUATIONYahoo! Sports was impressed with the reaction they received to JHG's Fantasy Hockey campaign, so they asked the team to step up and go a bit farther with a Fantasy Basketball campaign. This time, in addition to the banners, email, and poster, JHG was tasked with creating a new informational webpage that would live on Yahoo! Sports, driving signups for Fantasy Basketball.RESULTSBefore any fantasy baseball fan was drafting and trading players on the web, they were collecting trading cards of stars from the past, present, and future. JHG drew on this memorable activity to develop a creative campaign aimed at establishing Yahoo! Sports Fantasy Baseball as America's NEW favorite pastime.Featuring cover athlete Mark Teixiera, the newest member of the would be 2009 World Series Champions, a series of classic trading cards were designed and put into motion on flash and static banners to be displayed within the Yahoo! website. The vintage looking cards were also incorporated into an email blast and poster to help encourage new and returning viewers to sign up. |
