SITUATION
JVC Mobile Entertainment, a leading developer and manufacturer of mobile, audio and video products, needed to promote viral video "Turn Me on 2", hosted on partner SPIN.com's website. The primary objective of the campaign was to drive views of the video, which in turn would spread awareness of a featured JVC Mobile product.
RESULTS
JHG worked with JVC Mobile to implement a successful viral marketing strategy by creating and managing a user-based contest on popular social media site Twitter, as well as by executing a media relations campaign to drive contest adoption. As a result of JHG and JVC Mobile's collaborative marketing efforts, video views of "Turn Me On 2" increased by over 1 million and Twitter followers increased by over 300, along with millions of press release impressions due to coverage at top tier online publications. The success of the campaign led JVC Mobile parent company, JVC U.S.A., to engage JHG for assistance with their growing social media presence. |
