From the earliest days of JHG - during the fever-pitched planning sessions at the diner, when we first set up our offices, and as we designed our early brochures and web pages - it was there. We’re referring, of course, to the Red Chair, an indelible part of our company's culture.
The Red Chair says: "Welcome. You’re in the right place." Because most of us at JHG have been in business ourselves, we understand the challenges our clients face. We even say, "Hey, we’ve sat in your chair." So you see, the Red Chair is more than a piece of furniture, it’s part of our story. It's part of who we are and how we create partnerships with our clients.
The Red Chair has taken on a number of persona and will continue to evolve, reflecting the energies of our clients, our employees, and our adventures in the world of business. It's really like having a Super Hero in the house - one day it's a comfy wing-back, then a stylish side chair, maybe a seat on the 50-yard line at the Super Bowl. Hip and edgy one day, trusted and solid the next. Who knows how many more surprises it will spring on us!
The Red Chair reminds us that the values our company embraced at the beginning - connection, conversation, and partnership - are now engrained in our company culture. Today and always.
